Persimmon Fuyu
Diospyros kaki ‘fuyu’
An outstanding deciduous fruit tree on superior Diospyros lotus rootstock with highly ornamental qualities. Fall foliage is a brilliant orange-red. Showy, bright orange-scarlet fruit ripens in late fall and remains on the bare stems well into winter. Non-astringent fruit is firm fleshed, and is best enjoyed when given time to soften slightly after harvesting from tree.
