The Sago Palm is a very slow growing palm tree. It is a small palm that does best in the shade. Its slow growth makes this palm perfect to grow in containers on a shaded patio or even indoors by a sunny window. The Sago Palm has deep green waxy leaves and does not like to be over watered. This palm can become acclimated to our Arizona sun, but for best color and health the shade or filtered sun is best. It grows slowly up to 10 feet high and is hardy to 10 degrees F. This description is based on our observations and research of this plant growing in our hot Arizona climate. We would love hearing from anyone who has any additional experience with this plant in Arizona.
